Frequently
Asked Questions

Can I keep my existing home phone(s)?

In most cases, yes. You can keep an existing non-IP phone such as Uniden or Panasonic. You will be required to purchase an ATA (analogue telephone adapter) and a Starlink Ethernet adapter for this to work.

You will be prompted to select your preferred equipment when ordering via our online portal.

Alternatively, we sell a range of IP phones, designed to operate with Starlink. The biggest advantage of the desktop phones is the ability to connect these over WiFi to your Starlink router without a Starlink Ethernet adapter.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. Your existing phone number can be ported. You will be prompted to upload your latest phone bill when placing an order.

There are 2 types of phone numbers: CAT A and CAT C numbers. Generally, a standard residential number is a CAT A. If your number has complex features and you have a series of numbers bundled, then it will likely be a CAT C port.

Don’t worry, if you are unsure we will have a look for you and if we cannot determine the port type, we will arrange to contact your provider.

How do I receive voicemails?

Voicemails will be sent digitally via one or multiple email addresses of your choice. Alternatively, we can also set up an extension number for you to dial to retrieve voicemails.
