There is a $150 standard connection fee for our nbn® services, meaning we do not have any connection charges for business nbn®.
If you are in a new housing development or opt to have a new line connected you may be liable for an additional charge as dictated by the nbn®.
Should any additional nbn® charges apply to your connection, we will display them before confirming your order.
Depending on the location, nbn® uses a mix of technologies to connect to the nbn® broadband access network. Some devices will need to be registered with nbn® directly such as medical alarms, monitored fire alarms, and lift emergency phones. Other devices to consider are security systems, fax and teletypewriter devices, EFTPOS terminals, health claim terminals, and existing landline phone services. To register your devices visit the nbn® website.
Our nbn® services for enterprise require a router with a gigabit WAN port interface configured for DHCP to access higher bandwidth services up to 1000/1000Mbps. For nbn® copper connection types, you will need a VDSL/VDSL2+ compatible modem. If you opt in to rent our managed Cisco 1100 series router, then we will supply the correct model with port configurations that match your technology type and network requirements.
Alternatively, if you have existing infrastructure in place and wish to bring your own router to the service, please refer to the setup documentation of your router and our team will assist with the configuration required for your service.

Our NF20MESH gateway is a modem/router that is suitable for all fixed line connection types and supports a new generation of connectivity with Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 6 gives you up to four times more device capacity than Wi-Fi 5. Pair our NF20MESH with the NS-02 Mesh Satellite points for greater Wi-Fi coverage if you have dead spots in your property.
Our Google Nest is compatible with multiple mesh points to give you a stronger signal across your home. The mesh points come with Google Assistant for extra help around the house and are great for setting up a smart home system. Google Nest is a router and works on HFC/FTTP/Fixed Wireless services but you will need a modem to work on FTTN/FTTB.
Yes, but only if you opt in to rent our managed Cisco 1100 series supplied router. Our technical support team can assist you with applying custom configurations to suit your business requirements.
If you do not opt in and use your existing business router, our team will only be able to assist with basic WAN configurations. So if you bring your own router to your business nbn® service, we will not be able to apply custom configurations.
If there has been a previous nbn® connection at your premises, the standard time frame for nbn® installation is 1-5 business days – and there will be no additional work required by a technician.
If your address has not been connected to nbn® before the standard time frame can be anywhere up to 20 business days and will be dependent on your nbn® access technology type and technician availability.
Your nbn® access technology will determine the exact method of installation for your technician.
For connections to premises that are already connected to the nbn® via FTTN/B or HFC technology there may be a small period of downtime when switching providers.
For connections to premises that are already connected to the nbn® via FTTP or Fixed Wireless technology, another port on the already installed network termination device will be activated in addition to any other active ports, so there should be no down time.
For connections to premises that have not yet connected to the nbn® via FTTN/B or HFC technology there may be a small period of downtime when connecting.
For connections to premises that have not yet connected to the nbn® via FTTP or Fixed Wireless technology, new infrastructure will be installed which will not interrupt your current service.
The top speed of your business nbn® will depend on the plan you choose. We offer plans starting from 25 megabits per second (mbps) download speed and 10mbps upload speed (25/10mbps) up to 1000/400mbps.

A Static IP address is a fixed address assigned to a device by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Unlike dynamic IP addresses, which come standard in our residential nbn® plans, static IP addresses do not change – meaning that other devices can find and connect to the device easily.
Using a Static IP address, your business can:
- Utilise file hosting on a network server.
- Access printers over the network.
- Host a website or email server for your business.
- Set up remote access to your network when you’re away from the office.
It depends on whether your business is single or multisite, and how you want to connect. nbn® Internet Connections are great for single site businesses with an office needing high-speed internet connectivity to the outside world.
nbn® Private IP Networks are for businesses with multiple offices in different locations across Australia and abroad, that need fast connectivity between their sites as well as an internet connection to the outside world. This enables businesses to minimise costs on software, hardware and maintenance by having centralised critical infrastructure to share pooled resources and applications.
SAG stands for Service Agreement Guarantee and refers to our commitment to keeping your nbn® service up and running with minimal disruption. Of course, we do not want you to experience any downtime. But in the event of unscheduled downtime on your service, we’ll refund you a percentage of your monthly service cost.
We offer different levels of SAGs across support packages, including:
- Best-effort SAG with no rebates.
- 99% uptime SAG: Allows 7h 18m 17.5s per month downtime.
- 99.95% uptime SAG: Allows just 21m 54.9s per month downtime.

eSLA stands for Enhanced Service Level Agreement and refers to nbn®’s commitment to providing a higher level of support by rectifying faults within a specified timeframe. eSLAs are one of key features that distinguishes a business-grade nbn® service from a residential-grade one. An eSLA is essential for businesses to minimise potential service disruption.
Our enterprise-level nbn® services all come with the option of choosing a support package that includes either a 12-hour, 8-hour or 4-hour eSLA fault rectification timeframe that you can access 24/7. Choose a level of eSLA that best suits your business requirements.
Choosing between Gold, Silver or Bronze support depends on your business requirements.
All our support packages include business-dedicated, Australian-based support available 24/7. The difference between packages largely comes down to our uptime SAG and nbn®’s eSLA on fault restoration timeframes, which are the biggest considerations for businesses with a critical reliance on connectivity.
The best way to determine the level of SAG and eSLA you require is to assess the financial impact potential downtime has on your business against the cost of adding uptime and fault restoration time frame guarantees to your service.
nbn® Enterprise Ethernet (EE) is a Layer 2 carrier-grade fibre service that delivers bandwidth with the highest speed, performance and reliability across the nbn® ethernet access network.
nbn® EE enables a symmetrical bandwidth profile with traffic prioritisation, including low and high Class of Service (CoS). Low CoS provides an excess information rate with best effort contention, which is great for low priority applications, including internet browsing and emails, while high CoS provides a committed 1:1 information rate ideal for time-sensitive applications, including voice, video conferencing and CRM database queries.
Your choice of bandwidth profile should match your business requirements. If you are a smaller business with fewer staff using the internet for more general applications, including web browsing, emails, streaming and other non-critical services, then an asymmetrical connection with best effort contention is perfect for delivering high-speed, cost-effective bandwidth.
If you are a larger enterprise with more staff that have a heavy reliance on the internet and higher priority applications, including voice, video conferencing and cloud services, then a symmetrical connection with high priority or committed 1:1 contention is ideal to deliver high performance bandwidth, 24/7.
Failover is becoming essential for business-grade connections to keep services online and minimise any downtime in the event of an unscheduled outage. Enabling 4G LTE failover enables a redundant secondary path that automatically switches over in the event of your primary nbn® link going down so your business stays connected. Combining 4G LTE Failover with a higher SAG and eSLA provides for a robust contingency plan for businesses that cannot afford downtime and require highly reliable and resilient connectivity.
